Fees and Bursaries

Fees cover normal curriculum tuition, most clubs and activities and lunches. In Years 4 to 8, fees also cover the cost of one residential trip in each year.

Early Years: Nursery and Reception  £4,535 (part time; £2,725)
Pre-Prep: Years 1 & 2 £5,275
Lower School: Years 3 & 4  £5,980
Middle & Upper School: Years 5 - 8 £6,696

Registration Fee (non-returnable)          £100

On acceptance of a definite place at the school a non-returnable deposit of £1500 is required which will be set against the pupil’s final term’s invoice.

Music Tuition

Individual instruction is charged by the individual teachers at a rate of £21.50 per lesson.  There are usually 30 lessons per year.

A charge will be made for the hire of a school instrument by arrangement with the Music Department.

The School offers a limited number of means-tested bursaries each year for boys entering into Years 3 and 4. These may be offered to parents who would not otherwise be able to afford the school fees.  These pupils are academically gifted boys who have the aptitude to benefit from the varied opportunities which the School offers.

Applications for bursary places in Years 3 & 4 should be made by the registration deadline in mid November in the year prior to entry.  Applicants will be invited to attend for assessment at which they will be required to complete a number of tests as well as an interview.

Parents will be asked to complete a confidential statement of financial circumstances which requests full details of income and capital resources; prior to the offer of an award a home visit will be made to discuss these details.

Bursaries will be subject to annual review since we understand that families’ financial situations can both improve and deteriorate.
