This week in two performances, the power of the voice was stunningly demonstrated by all boys in Lower School. An eclectic collection of poems enthralled the audience with tales of clever pigs, Mewlips, letters on the night train, Albert being eaten by the lion and a teacher who didn’t allow breathing in the classroom. This was complemented by the fun of the Oompla-Loompa song and the haunting refrains of The Highwayman and Bilbo’s Riddle. The boys also deserve praise for the way they seamlessly and silently moved on and off stage. This was a credit to the class teachers working hard behind the scenes. Huge thanks to Mr Bennett-Surtees and Mrs Chambers for their work with the boys in dance, drama and music lessons to prepare for their performance.
