Memorial to the Fallen

From the first Old Boy to lose his life in conflict during the Boer War in 1902 to the most recent, who lost his life in Afghanistan in 2009, a total of 292 Alumni have fallen whilst serving in the forces of the United Kingdom and its empire, a number which includes six members of staff.

We will recognise the sacrifice made by those former pupils and members of staff with birch plaques, each inscribed with the individual’s regimental insignia, name, rank, date and place of death. They will be placed side by side to form a Memorial Wall in the Gallery of the Hugh Woodcock Music School as a permanent reminder to the current pupils and staff of their courage, love and service to their country.

The booklet below tells the story of our Fallen.

If you would like to contribute to the Memorial Wall Appeal fund by cheque then please make it out to Dulwich Prep London, write ‘Plaque Appeal’ on the back and return it with the Gift Aid form to The Bursar, 42 Alleyn Park, SE21 7AA.
