On Friday, Year 2 were sent back in time to the Victorian Classroom. Pupils entered silently and stood to attention. No-one dared to say a word unless a question was directed at them. The boys had to write out the alphabet on blackboards and any child who spoke out was given a harsh punishment! The Victorian Home workshop was a thrilling and informative session. The boys were able to handle artefacts, wear clothes from the era and were brilliant at being history detectives. The day ended with a very strict assembly. Mrs Whitehead chose a few boys to act out and play along with her authoritarian approach to Victorian school life. The boys thoroughly enjoyed their day and were glad when the teachers stepped out of character.
