On Wednesday 21st November, we welcomed the parents of 4H to the boys’ annual class assembly performance. The children decided to base their assembly on Dreams and also Perseverance, one of our Excellent Learning characteristics, having studied Martin Luther King in their RS lessons. Introducing the assembly were two ‘news reporters’, followed by an explanation from the boys on why Martin Luther King Jnr had inspired them. The children endearingly shared some of their personal dreams for the future before showing an example of what perseverance looks like in the present. This was shown through a humorous video clip of an interview they had previously filmed. Finally, the boys performed a short play centred around Leo the Lion, who although at first struggled at school, persevered and achieved his goals. The children finished by singing a lovely rendition of ‘A Million Dreams’, one of their favourite songs from ‘The Greatest Showman’ movie. Well done to the class of 4H for all their hard work.
