Charlie Houseago is a researcher currently studying for his PhD at Dyson Robotics Laboratory at Imperial College London. He is also an old boy of this school, a Queen’s Scholar to Westminster and a scholarship graduate and post graduate of Trinity College Cambridge.  On Wednesday 30th January Charlie delivered a fascinating Leake lecture presentation on robotics, and in particular on his current research (which is centred on domestic exploration, scene understanding and environmental manipulation) to a spell-bound audience of some 160 boys, their siblings and parents, as well as members of staff and visitors to the school.  Charlie stayed on after the presentation to answer a wide range of questions posed by enquiring minds that had been bewitched by the work that he is doing at the cutting edge of robotics and AI.
