IAPs Swimming Finals

Posted: 13th June 2019

IAPs-4

Swimming is sometimes mistakenly seen as an individual sport.  For any spectator privileged enough to have been at the London Aquatics Centre on Saturday June 8th they would have seen how important a strong team spirit and ethos is to the competition.  As the boys stood on the blocks up against swimmers from the best schools in the country, they knew they were in for a tough afternoon.  Nevertheless, the boys swam brilliantly and achieved remarkable swims married with several personal bests.  There were podium places for the U10s and U13s in the relays and seven boys reached the finals!  Furthermore, as a school, Dulwich Prep London came second overall nationally, a phenomenal achievement from all involved.
