On Wednesday, the Year 2 boys astounded their parents with an amazing performance of the children’s opera Lionhunt! A temperamental Italian conductor, a glamorous soprano, a director and a big fat bass searched the Coliseum for their missing lead singer, Brian the Lion. On their way, they met mice, cats, dogs, owls and snakes who helped them find the surprising Brian. The performers dazzled the audience with their fabulous story telling skills, voices, and actions. The opera was topped off with a great set, costumes, superb narrator in Mr Stephenson, magnificent mezzo in Mrs Chambers and a wonderful piano duet accompaniment by Ms Dalzell and Ms Fisher. It was a magical occasion that left the audience on their feet cheering “Bravo! Encore!”
