Prep+ The Term So Far

Posted: 16th October 2019

Prep-plus-3

We have had three fully booked outings so far this term. The term (season) kicked off as boys, staff and parents went to watch The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 ¾ -a musical of the famous book written by Sue Townsend. The staging and the musical itself were fabulous and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Our next visit was to the Dominion Theatre for a musical recently made of the 1986 hit film with Tom Hanks, ‘Big’. Once again, a lively, fun and music filled show told the story a young boy trapped inside an adult body.

Our final visit was to the brilliantly staged ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ in the atmospheric setting of County Hall.  As an Agatha Christie play, there was of course much debate and discussion as to ‘whodunnit’? at the interval, with a superb climax to the play that did not disappoint!

One of the great things about Prep+ trips is that sometimes we arrive early and get to take a short walk around the area. Last week we walked through the amazing Leake Street tunnel, a base for many street graffiti artists who are constantly changing the art there. A nice link into the Prep + Graffiti Art Course here at the Prep last Sunday (see separate article).

Prep+ now looks forward to the sold out ‘Dining in the Dark’ experience at half-term and three more cracking events before Christmas.

Dulwich Prep & Senior Announcement

We are delighted to share that we will be extending our provision from ages 3-13 to ages 2-16. Our first Year 9 cohort will start in September 2025.

As a highly commended school at this year’s Independent School of the Year Awards, we are excited to share that we will become Dulwich Prep & Senior.

We will continue to be a school of choice, maintaining our exceptional Prep offering with the option of staying to GCSE. Our support of families in finding the right senior school or sixth form at the right time for their sons will remain at our core, whether that be at ages 11, 13 or 16.

Our key entry points will be Nursery, Reception, Year 3, Year 7 and Year 9. Occasional places may be available in other year groups.

If you would like your son to be one of our ‘Trailblazers’ and join Year 9 in 2025 or 2026, please get in touch with our Admissions Department for further details.
