On Wednesday 5th February, 12 very excited Year 7 boys set off on our annual exchange to Cape Town, South Africa. The purpose of the trip was to give the boys a taste of life in another city to achieve this, boys were paired up and hosted by families from Bishops Prep. As part of the trip, we spent half our weekdays in school to experience school life and lessons such as Afrikaans. While away, the boys also participated in amazing adventures such as trampolining, zip lining, crocodile diving, tobogganing and Scootours. The group enjoyed much of the wildlife that South Africa has to offer at the Cheetah Outreach, Giraffe House, Boulders Beach and The Eagle Encounter. We visited Langa, a township near Rondebosch and helped local student with their Maths. We even got to watch the Cape Town Stormers train and meet the players including Siya Kolisi and Herschel Jantjies.
We have had a fantastic time away and can’t wait to host the boys and staff from Bishops Prep in April.
