The Early Years Department provides a warm and friendly introduction to school life. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which recognises the importance of nurturing positive relationships and tailoring the environment to meet the needs and interests of each unique child.
Areas of learning
Personal, social and emotional development is central to our daily provision. Emphasis is placed on promoting the children’s communication and language skills, and teacher-led activities, including literacy and maths, are differentiated. From the outset the boys and girls are taught about characteristics of effective learning, beginning to understand that it’s acceptable to make mistakes and that effort counts.

Exciting topic work and up-to-date resources support the children’s learning of IT skills and the world around them, and this is reflected in the creative displays around the school.
