Friends of Dulwich Prep

The Friends of Dulwich Prep London is a society for all parents and staff of the school. It organises various events throughout the year to encourage co-operation and good relations between the parents, the staff and all others associated with the school; and strengthen links between the school and the local community.

Any profits made from the various events that the Friends organise throughout the year are donated to the school to purchase equipment or to fund projects or donated to various charities chosen by the Friends, the boys or the school.

Membership of the Friends is open to all parents, staff, governors, guardians and relatives of, both present and former, pupils and friends of the school. Simply come along to one of the meetings or keep an eye out for notices in the weekly school mailings, or look out for our posters to see how you can get involved.

Meetings

In general, the Friends meet once a term to discuss upcoming events. These meetings are usually held in the evening over a glass of wine. An Annual General Meeting is held in the first half of the Autumn term. Sub-committees are formed for each of the Friends’ events and additional meetings are arranged at the convenience of the sub-committee members.

Events

Friends’ events throughout the year typically include:

The Committee

Chair: Rebekah Edwards
Co-chair: Joanne Binka
Secretary: Tori Reeve
Treasurer: Emilie Alazawi
Early Years Co-Ordinator: Sarah Duncan

Volunteering

The Friends are always in need of volunteers to help organise or assist at events. The main requirements for volunteering are enthusiasm and a little time. Any particular skills or talents are always appreciated, but by no means necessary.

Contact

We are always pleased to see new faces at meetings. It is an excellent way of meeting other parents, sharing ideas and becoming a little more involved in the school’s social activities.

Please get in touch with us via email if you would like to be involved or contact us for any other reason.
