Job Description

We are looking to recruit an Art and Drama Technician who will be responsible for supporting the schools Drama and Arts department in their day to day operations. The role reports to both the Head of Art and the Head of Drama.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing proactive maintenance of Art department resources and equipment, including the store cupboard. Assist with rehearsal supervision, student support and stage management of performances. They will maintain positive, courteous relations with pupils, parents and colleagues.

An interest in Art and Drama, with experience working for Arts venues (e.g. Theatre, Art Galleries) and a Creative Arts background would be desirable for the role. Skills in specialist areas such as Drama (Theatre Studies or Design) and/or Art (Painting, Printing, Ceramics, Sculpture) would be preferable. 

The hours are: 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, 36 weeks each year are to include all term time weeks, INSET days plus major school and departmental events, such as Open Day and all pertinent events listed in the school calendar.
