Job Description

Dulwich Prep London is seeking to appoint a creative and organised individual to take an active lead in managing, developing and promoting the School library, in addition to its day to day administration.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers from all sections of the School to ensure the library supports the delivery of the curriculum and to help pupils make effective use of the library’s resources. They will also organise school-wide reading events, support library lessons, manage the library budget and contribute to the caring, purposeful and stimulating environment of our School.

We are looking for someone who loves reading and can use that passion to create and keep readers in a world with many other distractions. Someone who can demonstrate excellent communication and proofreading skills, would be of great benefit. A proactive, customer-orientated approach is essential, as is a keen interest in young people’s fiction. Education to degree level and experience of working with children are both desirable.

Dulwich Prep London offers excellent facilities and resources for its staff and pupils, as well as supportive and energised colleagues, a commitment to professional development and staff well-being opportunities and small class sizes.

This role is to work full days for 36 weeks per year (to include all Term Time weeks).  However, there may be some flexibility around working days and hours, which can be discussed at interview.

To Apply: Please read the accompanying Job Description and Application Explanatory Notes. Completed application forms, along with a covering letter explaining your suitability for this role and a completed Equal Opportunities form, should be sent to Tamsin Hutson, HR Manager, at recruitment@dulwichpreplondon.org

Closing Date: 12 noon, Friday 24 June 2022

Interview Date: week commencing 27 June 2022

We reserve the right to appoint at any time during the recruitment process.
