Job Description

Dulwich Prep London is the most exciting and stimulating place to work. With around 850 pupils, it is the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the most cosmopolitan city in the world. The School’s strength is its community: our staff who are professional, passionate and brilliantly collegiate (CPD is extremely important); our pupils who are inquisitive, challenging learners with a spring in their step, and our parents who are hugely supportive, appreciative and ambitious.

We are looking to recruit an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Pre-Prep for one year to cover a period of staff absence. The successful candidate will assist teachers in their planning, preparation and delivery of high quality lessons, will promote independent learning, and will celebrate pupils’ achievement through child-friendly, interactive displays and presentation of children’s work.

We would welcome applicants who are team focused and enthusiastic and who will contribute to the caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment in our Pre Prep section. A strong knowledge of supporting the teaching of phonics is essential; experience of RWI would be an advantage. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable.

Dulwich Prep London offers excellent facilities and resources for its staff and pupils, as well as supportive and energised colleagues, a commitment to professional development and staff wellbeing opportunities and small class sizes.
