The cricket season gets underway

After a fitful start to the cricket season due to inclement weather, last weekend saw 3 of our teams take to the field for the first time this season in fixtures against Northcote Lodge and Shrewsbury House.  The boys struggled to get to grips with the early season wickets and came second in some very close matches.  There were many positives signs and we are confident that as we get into the season and get more time in the middle, the true abilities will come through and we hope to be celebrating many 50’s, hat-tricks and 5 wicket hauls.   This weekend sees cricket at Dulwich Prep really kick off with a 14 block fixture against our good friends Caldicott.  9 Junior teams and 7 senior teams will travel away and pit their early season skills against some very worthy opposition.
