Last week 12 lucky boys enjoyed five days in the Italian Alps. Along with more than 225 other Prep school pupils they were taking part in the IAPS Ski Championships in the resort of Passo Tonale.
The superbly organised event involved 3 days of race training (we had an excellent Italian coach although some schools took their own), 2 Giant Slalom races, a couple of discos, an evening of snowtubing, some great food and a huge snowball fight!
The squad of Jack (8C), Alexis (7D), Freddie (7H), Luke (6W), James (5D), Lucas (5W), Ben (8C), Fraser (8W), Jonty (7D), Hugo (5C), Kamran (5C) and Kieran (5D) were split in to four teams of three, U13 A&B and U11 A&B.
The boys all skied very well indeed and responded brilliantly to the coaching they received. Special congratulations go to Ben and Jonty who earned a Bronze medal in the U13 Plate competition and to James, Luke and Lucas for their superb performance in winning the Silver medal in the U11 Championship race.
