On Sunday morning 4 Dulwich Prep teams set off to Medway Park, Gillingham, to take part in the South East Regional Biathlon Championships.
The day saw boys take part to qualify as individuals for the National Biathlon Championships in March next year. We needed three boys from each team to qualify in order to then enter them as a team into the National Biathlon Finals.
Boys across all age groups performed extremely well and we managed to get three of the age group teams (U10,U11,U12) through to the finals with the under 13 and under 14 boys still to attend a qualification round.
There were some good team performances in which we managed to secure the following:
U10 Team Gold
U11 Team Gold
U12 Team Gold
In addition to this there were also some notable individual performances.
U10 Boys 1st place – Elias Azlen
U12 Boys 1st place – James Rates
U13 Boys 2nd Place – Sam Ridgley
Well done to all the boys who took part. We look forward to the finals, next March.
