Year 3 Adventures

Posted: 16th November 2016

Year 3 travelled to Chatham Dockyard on Thursday 10th to explore the might of the British Navy. Having fought our way through the morning traffic the boys were eager to walk the gangways and explore the nooks and crannies of the HM Submarine Ocelot and HMS Cavalier. Our expert guides gave a thoroughly fascinating and exciting tour of the vessels; particular favourites were the navigation and attack sections of both boats, as well as seeing where the sailors ate and slept.  Once off the ships the boys turned their hands to boat building and rock launching, gaining further understanding of the impact of forces and movement.  A great day was had by all.
