Today’s Early Years’ assembly was all about the hidden super powers of food for a healthy body.
The children were surprised to see Casey the carrot and Hydra the water bottle glide in to centre stage!
During the assembly the Chartwells Nutrition Team also talked about Barry the bean and Silver Top the milk bottle as well as the Spud Brothers Bud and Jud so the children could understand about different food groups and how to eat to eat healthily.
The team visited the Reception classes with bags of food, where the boys were asked to guess which food belonged to which food group as well as make sure they are eating a balanced diet.
