Last week 7H ushered in the Year of the Rooster with an assembly looking at how people around the world celebrate New Year. This included learning about settling grievances built up over the old year by fist-fighting in Peru; spending the evening with relatives in the cemeteries of Talca, Chile and eating grapes while the chimes of the clock strike 12 in Spain. The final presentation saw the arrival of a Chinese dragon, specially made for the occasion by Robert, and wishes of ‘Gong hei fat choi,’ for the assembled monkeys and roosters of Year 7.
