A Dragon in the Early Years!

Posted: 3rd May 2017

We had great fun in our Wednesday assembly at the Early Years last week, when we celebrated St George’s day: a little late we know!

Ms Hopewell told the story and children from both Nursery and Reception brought this to life with their acting. It was exciting to see St George arrive with his trusty knights to rescue the princess from the dragon.

The whole of Early Years took part by helping the dragon make the biggest roar you have ever heard and then swishing pretend swords to slay the creature.  It was a relief to see the dragon get up, smile and then sit down!

The assembly ended with an explanation about the union jack flag and a twirl from one of the Nursery girls all dressed in red, white and blue.
