Powwow Paper Chain Challenge

Posted: 17th May 2017

Tuesday 16th May marked the inaugural Powwow Paper Chain Challenge -what an event!

As part of our Tribe Centenary celebrations we are running Tribe competitions throughout School and the results from the Powwow Challenge this morning will be added into the final scores.

With only 30 strips of paper and ten minutes sticking time, the challenge was to make the longest paper chain possible. The 10 Powwows from each Tribe then joined together in the playgrounds to see which Tribe had created the longest chain. Staff and boys were desperately trying to glue the final strips into place before the big measure but it was quite a sight to behold. Thanks to our Year 8 mathematicians who took on the responsibility of measuring each chain in order to ascertain our winner… a whopping 88metres long!
