The Elysium Theory

Posted: 5th July 2017

Last week a select band of parents and boys travelled back in time as the corridors and classrooms of the school were transformed into Dulwich College Preparatory School: 1910. Why? To discover the mystery of ‘The Nameless Teacher’ and the elusive Elysium Theory.

Jack Godwin shone as the eponymous hero vying for the approval of Nicholas Rackow’s Reverend Leake. The plot took us into the darker recesses of this desire for power and success, with the assistance of the dark ‘spirits’, sagely, tweed-adorned teachers, a timeless caretaker, scholars and the rebellious ‘Three Rapscallions’, led by the excellent Josh McGregor.

Audiences were spellbound with performances that challenged the cast members to stretch their acting skills to new levels. All were in agreement that the show was something never seen before in the Prep – an amazing achievement for the boys.
