On Sunday 4th February Dulwich Prep hosted a South London first round of the ProCorda Chamber Music for Schools Competition. Four chamber groups from our school took part: Quartets from Years 6 & 7, a Year 8 Quintet and a Cello Octet playing a world premiere of ‘Octopus Waltz’. All groups played with energy and flair and were given an inspiring masterclass by the adjudicator Laura Feeney who congratulated them all on ‘fantastic’ performances. We wait to hear if any of our groups might progress to the Semi Final round.
