Summer Serenade

Posted: 3rd July 2018

Even the Fifa World Cup could not disrupt the Music Department’s, now traditional, showcase event of ‘three halves’ – and the concert certainly did not disappoint.  The Senior Concert Band kicked off in the Marquee as a delighted crowd watched on with a glass of Pimms in hand.  Play continued in the Concert Hall with Chamber Strings, Year 7 Quartet, Chamber Choir, Cello Dectet, Big Band, Guitar Group and Senior Orchestra all performing at the top of their game.  Extra time was played on the outdoor stage with the Year 8 Marimba Players, Percussion Group, Saxophone Group and both Rock Bands entertaining the audience during the second reception of the evening.   Huge thanks and congratulations to all the boys who took part. There were certainly no own goals scored that evening!  Bravo.
