On Friday, the Year 2 boys got the chance to immerse themselves in a Day in the Life of a 1950s school child. The boys had to follow more formal lessons in Reading with the help of Janet and John, Writing and Arithmetic. They also took part in a Movement and Music class and nature study lesson. Luckily, the boys were able to escape the punishment of the cane! The fun continued with a lively workshop from Thomas the Toymaker, who demonstrated an array of 1950s toys and games. Finally, the boys had the opportunity to tuck into bread and butter pudding at lunchtime, supplied by the catering staff. Lots of laughs were had, along with a few Elvis dance moves.
