Our second Family Book Club meeting took place last Thursday, and attracted over 80 participants – all of whom had read the chosen book, The Day I Was Erased, in preparation.
Fortified by delicious cakes, the boys and other family members took part in round table activities and discussions on different elements of the book: its plot, setting, theme, characterisation and emotion. The book’s author, Lisa Thompson, had travelled from Suffolk to be with us for the meeting, so was able to sign everyone’s books, take part in the discussions and answer the myriad of questions from the tables!
