The Common Entrance and Scholarship candidates all spent a day on the sunny South Coast of Sussex measuring the changing morphology of the Cuckmere River. Armed with ranging poles, tape measures, stop-watches and the humble dog biscuit, the boys gathered excellent data to compile some rather advanced enquiry- style projects. The trip allowed the boys to experience first-hand the vast tidal range, features and surroundings of a river valley and put into practice the theory covered in Year 7.
