On Sunday, Prep+ came to school when we had our first ever Graffiti Art Course. The marvellous Leon, a professional graffiti artist from Graffiti Stars gave a three hour course to 30 boys from Years 5 to 8 as an introduction to the art form. The first task was making paper and card stencils and then we moved outside to learn about the different paints, styles and skills related to graffiti art. The rain soon drove us inside but that didn’t hinder the enjoyment one bit. The boys absolutely loved learning and practising skills whilst making their own board. Leon was superb instructor and this insight into a new art form for many will inspire the boys to want to learn more skills associated with graffiti art.
