Nurturing Programme 'Talking Teens'

Posted: 17th October 2018

Following on from the success of our 10 week Parenting Programme, we now have a sharply focussed course on communicating with our pre-teens and developing teenagers. It certainly can be a difficult stage in a person’s life and the impact of behaviours will affect the whole family. As parents, we often have pre-conceived ideas of how our teenagers are going to behave and sometimes these do not eventuate or we might not act or react in a helpful way! It all makes for stimulating discussion and gives us a real opportunity to take time to consider our parenting and how our families are coping in the busy world we live in.

The Nurturing Programme is now taking bookings for this Pre-teens parenting course, starting after half term on Friday mornings. Based on the most recent research on adolescence, and consistent with the principles of the Nurturing Programme, the groups provide a positive view of teenage development and focus on relationships within the family, communication, negotiating, decision-making and strategies to reduce conflict.

The course is open to parents of children in Years 6, 7 or 8, commencing on Friday 9th November (9.30am- 12) and runs for four weeks. The cost is £100.

If you would like to enrol please contact Robyn Asher at dulwichpreplondonnurturing@gmail.com or phone/text 07769690435.
