Year 3 visit to Sea Life Centre

Posted: 3rd May 2017

Last week, Year 3 headed out to the Sea Life Centre where sharks swam above their heads and jelly fish danced.  During their ‘Undersea Britain’ talk the boys learnt that the waters surrounding our coastline are full of colourful sea creatures.  With newly taught art skills the boys stopped to sketch some of the fish, taking note of their shape, patterns, texture and detail.

When asked for their highlights the boys exclaimed, “Seeing the stingrays glide and the sharks move so stealthily. “ Of course, it would not have been a proper ocean experience if we had not been treated to a show of waddling black tails and flapping wings. The penguins did not let us down. They enthralled us all as we learnt about their habitat and watched them dive so elegantly into the water.
