Pow Wows for Year 1 – 4

Posted: 13th April 2016

In the last week of the Spring term, Years 1 – 4 had their first ever tribe Pow Wow. This involved a mixture of ages from Pre-Prep and Lower School gathering in small tribe groups to participate in a variety of team-building activities.

Tribe Pow Wows have already been extremely successful in Middle and Upper school for some time, as it is an opportunity for the boys across different sections to form new relationships.  The vertical mix of ages provides the boys with experiences of mentoring, responsibility, team building and encourages pastoral care for one another.

The Pow Wow theme was Easter and included ‘getting to know you games’ and ice-breakers. For example, some boys were seen playing ‘duck duck goose’, creating paper aeroplanes, working on maths investigations and ‘pin the tail on the bunny’.

Boys and staff really enjoyed the morning and can’t wait to find out the theme of this term’s Pow Wow!
