Second Hand Clothing sale raises over £1600

Posted: 28th September 2016

The early bargain hunters were out in force earlier this month, sipping coffee in the queue and enjoying cake for breakfast as they waited for the Second Hand Clothing Sale doors to open.

Building on the last sale’s success we welcomed many parents who quickly snapped up bargains, buying uniforms and ski gear in large quantities.  The cake and toy stand proved as popular as ever.

This term, for the first time, we also held a ‘mini sale’ of Reception uniform at the Early Years in Gallery Road; an initiative which was very warmly received by parents and carers.

In total we raised in excess of £1,600 for charity. The beneficiary will be chosen by the boys at the next school council meeting, and proceeds will also be used to fund bursary boys’ uniforms.

Many thanks to those parents who helped with the Sale on the day, baked cakes or donated uniform, your efforts contributed to making Saturday such a success.

The next sale will be on Saturday 29th April.
