Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our Early Years team and to lead the Early Years phonics programme, both with planning and supporting staff in its delivery, for the 2024- 2025 academic year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a move away from a solely RWI approach, and for creating a bespoke phonics scheme.

We would welcome applicants who are team focused and enthusiastic and who will contribute to the caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment in our Early Years section. A creative and innovative approach to enthusing pupils, a passion for life and learning and a belief in the power of teacher efficacy is essential.

Applications are invited from teachers who are able to demonstrate the following:

  • QTS qualification (PGCE desirable)
  • Full and relevant training and/or experience in the EYFS and/or KS1
  • An excellent understanding of the developmental needs of children in EYFS
  • Willingness to become fully involved in the life of the School

You will also be required to cover colleagues and perform all the duties and tasks expected of a class teacher.
